My journey with glass began at the torch, where I first fell in love with lampworking—melting and shaping molten glass into delicate, wearable designs. There’s something mesmerizing about winding glowing glass around a mandrel, watching it spiral and take form. That sense of movement and transformation is what inspired the name Spiral Fire Studio.
As I refined my skills, I found myself drawn to the expansive possibilities of fused glass. This shift opened a new creative path—one where I could explore color, shape, and texture in more expressive and layered ways. Today, my work blends sculptural and functional art, often incorporating powdered glass to create painterly depth and subtle detail.
I believe glass should be fun and exciting—a symphony of color, shape, and texture that delights the eye, engages the senses, and invites exploration.
Glass is a fascinating medium—fluid, unpredictable, and full of surprises. I embrace its challenges, allowing heat and movement to guide the creative process. Much of my inspiration comes from the natural beauty I encounter in my travels—oceans, gardens, and ever-changing landscapes. My designs evolve organically, flowing from vision to reality, much like the material itself.
At Spiral Fire Studio, I continue to experiment and push the boundaries of glass, blending fused elements with natural materials and exploring new techniques. Each piece is a journey—an exploration of light, movement, and the quiet magic of molten glass.
I hope my work resonates in a personal way—whether it evokes a memory, stirs emotion, or simply brings a moment of joy. My goal is not only to create beauty, but to spark a meaningful connection between the piece and the person who experiences it.
